Euro (€). Cards accepted almost everywhere in central Vienna, but small cafés and beisln still prefer cash. ATMs (Bankomat) give the best rates.
Language
German. English is widely spoken in central Vienna, hotels, and at the airport.
Visa
Schengen zone. Most Western passports get 90 days visa-free within any 180-day window. Verify before travel, visa rules change.
Transit
City Airport Train (CAT): VIE to Wien Mitte in 16 min, every 30 min, €14.90 one-way (€12 online). S-Bahn S7: 25 min to Wien Mitte, every 30 min, €4.30 with a VOR ticket. ÖBB Railjet: 15 min to Wien Hauptbahnhof, €4.30. Taxi runs €36 to €50.
Weather
