Take a taxi from KWI arrivals to the Kuwait Towers and Corniche area: 20 to 25 minutes, KWD 4 to 5 ($13 to $16). The Towers (entry KWD 2 / $6.50) have an observation sphere with Gulf views. The adjacent seafront corniche is a free 3 km walking path. Allow 40 minutes for the round-trip taxi and plan 1 to 1.5 hours at the Towers. Budget KWD 10 to 12 total including entry and transport.

Currency
Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD). One of the world's highest-valued currencies. Cards accepted in hotels, malls, and larger restaurants; carry some cash for taxis and small shops. ATMs are common in the city and at KWI.
Language
Arabic. English is widely spoken in business areas, hotels, most restaurants, and by younger locals. Signs at KWI and on main roads are bilingual.
Visa
eVisa or visa on arrival for most Western passports (US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia), valid up to 90 days. Roughly 53 nationalities qualify; others must arrange a visa in advance. Passport must be valid 6+ months. Verify before travel. Visa rules change.
Transit

Weather
Desert climate. Summers are extremely hot and dry, with highs of 40 to 50°C from May through September. November through March is the realistic window for a walkable layover.
