STN is Ryanair’s primary London hub, handling high volumes of European low-cost traffic plus a handful of long-haul operators. The Stansted Express to London Liverpool Street takes 47 minutes and runs every 30 minutes; single fares typically run GBP 18-23 depending on how far in advance you book, so check current prices before travel. Road links to London can take 90 minutes or more in peak hours, which makes the train the only reliable option for a timed layover. Summer weekends bring significant passenger volume and immigration queues can extend at that period.
