DUB is the only European airport with US Customs and Border Preclearance, letting US-bound travelers clear American immigration before boarding and arrive stateside as domestic passengers. For those not traveling to the US, both terminals connect airside, but there is no rail link and the Airlink 747 bus to city center (EUR 8, 25-35 minutes) is the main public transport option. Non-EU passport holders should factor 30-60 minutes for immigration on busy morning arrival banks. The city is worth a day if you have 8 or more hours and the right visa status.
