PEK serves most long-haul international routes to Beijing alongside the newer Daxing Airport (PKX). Terminal 3 is large and transfers between zones can take 20-30 minutes; budget carefully for connections. Holders of qualifying passports from around 54 nationalities can apply for the 240-hour visa-free transit at the dedicated counter airside, which opens up the city without a standard visa. The Airport Express to central Beijing runs every 10-15 minutes from T2 and T3 and takes 20 minutes for CNY 25.
