Finnair Platinum Wing is the highlight — it has a sauna. PP holders use Plaza Premium (non-Schengen) or Aspire (Schengen). The airport is one of the best in Europe for transit.

  • Excellent Europe-Asia transit hub; short connection times possible (MCT ~35 min for Schengen).
  • Schengen border control is fast with automated e-gates for EU/EEA citizens.
  • The airport is compact — walking times between gates are short.
  • Marimekko, Iittala, and Finnish design shops are worth browsing airside.

  • Train (Ring Rail Line P/I): ~30 minutes to Helsinki Central Station, ~€4.10 with HSL app.
  • Finnair City Bus: ~30 min to central Helsinki, ~€7.
  • Taxi: ~30 minutes, around €45–55.
  • Buffer: Back at HEL 2.5h international (non-Schengen), 1.5h Schengen.
