LIM’s new international terminal, which opened in mid-2025, meaningfully improved the experience with more immigration counters and better airside food including Peruvian chains Pardo’s Chicken and La Lucha sanguches. The Airport Express Lima coach to Miraflores runs every 30 minutes for USD 8 and takes 45-70 minutes depending on traffic; authorised taxis from the designated rank to Miraflores run S/60-80 and are the safe alternative. Avoid unlicensed taxi touts in the arrivals hall. Miraflores is close enough and pedestrian-friendly enough that a 6-8 hour layover here is genuinely usable.
