Taipei Songshan is a city airport in every sense: it sits within Taipei’s Da’an and Songshan districts, and the MRT connects it to the city center in about 15 to 20 minutes. It handles mostly regional flights (to Japan, South Korea, China) and domestic routes, which keeps the terminal compact and immigration manageable. Not a destination in itself, but the city access is some of the fastest you’ll find at any airport in East Asia.

Lounge options are limited to airline-specific access; there is no general Priority Pass lounge. Food options are basic. Better to eat in the city if you have the time. No public showers. The shorter return buffer (90 minutes to 2 hours before departure) reflects how easy the airport is to reach.
