Is it worth leaving the airport?
- Leave with 6+ hours. Under that, stay airside.
- Visa: US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia visa-free in Schengen; others must meet rules.
- Luggage: Arrivals storage about $8-12 USD / 8-12 EUR per day.
- Transit: 20-25 minutes to the center by taxi; bus is slower but cheap.
3-5 hours: stay airside
Coffee, bocadillo, lounge if you need a shower. Gate 40 minutes before boarding.
6-9 hours: cathedral exterior and tapas
Taxi to the center. See the Seville Cathedral/Giralda exterior, wander Santa Cruz alleys. Tapas at Bodega Santa Cruz Las Columnas (~$12 USD / 12 EUR) or a quick montadito. Leave 3 hours before departure.
10+ hours: add Plaza de España
After Santa Cruz, walk or taxi to Plaza de España and Maria Luisa Park. Return with buffer.
