Is it worth leaving the airport?

  • Leave with 7+ hours. Under that, stay airside.

  • Transit: Nankai Rapid/Haruka ~35-50 minutes to Namba/Osaka; taxi longer/costlier.

3-5 hours: stay airside

6-9 hours: Dotonbori dash

Nankai Rapid to Namba. Walk Dotonbori for neon/canals, eat takoyaki or okonomiyaki (~¥800-1,500), snap Glico sign. Leave 3-4 hours before departure.

10+ hours: add Shinsaibashi walk

Extend to Shinsaibashi shopping arcades, maybe a brief Shitennoji exterior. Return with buffer.
