Vieux-Port, a quick seafood bite, and back to MRS with time to spare.

Is it worth leaving the airport?

  • Leave with 6+ hours. Under that, stay airside.

  • Transit time: 25-40 minutes to Vieux-Port by taxi; bus is cheaper but slower.

3-5 hours: stay airside

Coffee and pastries, light browsing, and a lounge if you need a shower. Be at the gate 40 minutes before boarding.

6-9 hours: Vieux-Port walk

Taxi to Vieux-Port. Stroll the harbor and fish stalls. Quick lunch: panisse or a simple seafood plate (~$15 USD / 15 EUR). Coffee or pastis at a café on the quay. Leave for the airport 3-4 hours before departure to beat traffic.

10+ hours: add Le Panier

After Vieux-Port, walk up to Le Panier for narrow streets, street art, and views. Ice cream at Vanille Noire if open. Taxi back with a buffer.
