Is it worth leaving the airport?
- Leave with 6+ hours. Under that, stay airside.

- Transit: 45-60 minutes to Miraflores by Airport Express or taxi; add traffic buffer.
3-5 hours: stay airside
Coffee at Tanta or sandwiches at Sangucheria La Lucha. Lounges (Sumaq, Hanaq) for showers/Wi‑Fi. Shop, charge devices, gate 40 minutes before boarding.
6-9 hours: Miraflores cliffs and ceviche
Bus or taxi to Miraflores. Walk the Malecón and Parque del Amor. Lunch at Punto Azul/La Red (~$16 USD / 60 PEN) or La Mar (~$28 USD / 105 PEN, arrive early). Coffee/dessert at El Pan de la Chola or churros at Manolo. Leave Miraflores 4 hours before departure.
10+ hours: add Barranco
After the Malecón, taxi to Barranco for Puente de los Suspiros, street art, Bisetti coffee or Blu gelato. Quick museum stop (MATE or MAC) if time. Taxi back with a big buffer if it is rush hour.

- Taxi: $22-25 USD / 85-95 PEN to Miraflores; 45-70 minutes; fixed fare.
- Rideshare (Beat/Cabify/Uber): Similar off-peak; can surge.
- Miraflores-Barranco taxi: ~$6 USD / 23 PEN; 15-20 minutes.

- Currency: PEN; cards widely accepted; carry 40-60 PEN for small shops.
