Bus or taxi to Viaduct Harbour/Wynyard Quarter. Walk the boardwalk, watch the boats. Fish and chips at The Brewers Co-Op (budget) or a nearby sit-down. Coffee at Eighthirty. Leave the CBD 4 hours before departure.

10+ hours: add Mt Eden or Auckland Museum

Do the waterfront, then taxi to Mt Eden for skyline views, or swap for a quick Auckland Museum visit at the Domain. Lunch near SkyCity (Depot Eatery), then return with a solid buffer.
