Traveler notes

  • The 35 km distance to Buenos Aires city center makes quick layover trips difficult.
  • Immigration can be slow during peak arrivals (evening transatlantic flights).
  • Currency exchange rates at the airport are poor — withdraw ARS from ATMs or use Buenbit/Western Union in the city for better rates.
  • Argentine pesos devalue rapidly — only withdraw what you need.
🛏️

Sleep / Rest

  • Limited sleep-friendly seating airside; armrests on most benches.
  • Posadas de Ezeiza and other nearby hotels offer free shuttles.
  • Overnight in the terminal is common but not comfortable.
🍽️

Food

  • Argentine steakhouse options, empanadas, Havanna alfajores — prices are inflated.
  • Limited 24-hour options; some cafés close after last departures.
🚿

Showers

  • Aerolíneas Argentinas VIP lounge has showers. No public showers available.
🧳

Luggage Storage

  • Luggage storage available landside near arrivals; about $5–10 USD per bag per day.
🚇

Transit to City

  • Taxi/Remise: ~50–90 minutes depending on traffic; around ARS 25,000–50,000 (rates change frequently with inflation).
  • Tienda León shuttle: ~50–60 min to Retiro terminal, reliable and comfortable, ~$10–15 USD.
  • Bus #8: Cheapest (needs SUBE card), but takes ~2 hours. Not recommended with luggage.
  • Uber/Cabify: Available but no fixed pickup — coordinate via app.
  • Buffer: Back at EZE 3.5h international, 2h domestic.
🔌
