Is it worth leaving the airport?
- Leave with 6+ hours. Under that, stay airside.
- Visa: US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia are visa-free; others must meet Malaysia rules.

- Transit: 30-40 minutes to KL Sentral by KLIA Ekspres; taxi slightly longer.
3-5 hours: stay airside
Food court, kopi, lounges (Plaza Premium, PP) for showers/Wi‑Fi. Gate 40 minutes before boarding.
6-9 hours: KLCC and coffee
KLIA Ekspres to KL Sentral, then Grab/taxi or LRT to KLCC. See the Petronas Towers exterior and park, grab nasi lemak or hawker-style bites (~$8-12 USD / 35-55 MYR). Coffee at a nearby café. Leave 3-4 hours before departure.
10+ hours: add Bukit Bintang
After KLCC, swing through Bukit Bintang for malls/food courts. Return via KLIA Ekspres with buffer.
